Fredonia Observatory

Between the months of April and October, two free public astronomy nights per month will be offered at the State University of New York at Fredonia. These public nights are led by Dr. Michael Dunham from the physics department, with assistance from Fredonia students. Currently, these public nights are offered on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month. During these events you will experience a digital planetarium show providing an overview of what is currently visible in the night sky. Weather permitting, you will then be invited to the rooftop observatory on the Science Center, where you will have multiple opportunities to look through the telescope at celestial objects. We are limited to 30 visitors per event due to seating limitations in the planetarium.

Advance reservations are currently required to ensure adequate space is available.
