Another LECOM Health Challenge is in the Books
Ryan Brehm from Michigan is the winner of the 2019 LECOM Health Challenge. He won at 20 under par after a one hole playoff against Tim Wilkinson of New Zealand by sinking a breathtaking putt that circled the entire cup before dropping in.
Congratulations to all who helped to organize and support the LECOM Health Challenge the past four years at Peek’n Peak Resort.
The Floating Stage is Back on Chautauqua Lake
The return of the Floating Stage to Chautauqua Lake is a treat for the eyes and ears. After a year-long hiatus as the Bemus Bay Pops wrapped up its lengthy run in Bemus Point, the concert series has been reborn as Chautauqua Lake Pops, now located at the northern end of Chautauqua Lake behind the historic railroad depot building in Mayville.
Not only is the Floating Stage back, it is back with a full line up of programming for this summer season. Featuring everything from movie nights to live tribute band performances. The tribute band series will run Fridays, Saturday, and Sundays through the end of August. A series of movie screenings will be held Tuesday evenings at dusk. For ticket information visit
In addition, the Floating Stage will also be home this year to the FREE Mayville-Chautauqua Community Chamber of Commerce summer Entertainment in the Park series on Thursday nights. This series is sponsored annually by the Village of Mayville and Town of Chautauqua and these live performances are free of charge featuring a line-up that offers a wide variety of music including big band, blues, contemporary, country, and more. In case of rain these free concerts will be held at the Carlson Community Center at Lakeside Park.
While many communities around Chautauqua County offer free outdoor concerts during the summer months, we encourage all to sample the reborn Floating Stage at Mayville this year. Come by car or come by boat to enjoy some great entertainment on the shores of Chautauqua Lake
