The Thursday, July 25th performance of the 2019 Entertainment in the Park Summer Performance Series will feature the Pittsburgh based band, the Tim Vitullo Band.  Taking place at a new location this year, the Chautauqua Lake Pops floating stage behind the historic Mayville Depot across from Lakeview Hotel, Mayville NY, the concert will run from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.

The Tim Vitullo Band members include Tim Vitullo on guitar and vocals; Brent McConnell on drums and percussion; David Fix on double bass, bass guitar, and vocals; and Cody Piper on piano, keyboard, and vocals.  Influenced by Paul Simon, Van Morrison, Neil Young, The Allman Brothers, Eric Clapton, as well as others, the band performs “Contemporary Americana Blues”, including Americana roots/rock and jam band.  They perform regularly in the Northeast, Midwest, and Atlantic Coast regions.  Vitullo has also composed his own song arrangements and performs some of these at the band’s performances.  He was featured as a “Who’s Next: Up & Coming Artist Under 40” by The Incline Magazine and as an Artist-in-Residence at James Street Gastropub & Speakeasy in 2017.

Rainbow the Clown (Jerry Stimson) will also be on hand to entertain the children with creative balloon sculptures and face painting.

These performances are brought to you at no cost through the generous sponsorship by the Town of Chautauqua and Village of Mayville.  Seating will be provided for the outside performances at the floating stage area, courtesy of the Chautauqua Lake Pops concert series.  Those attending are still encouraged to bring their own chairs in case more seating is needed.  In case of rain, the performance will take place inside the Carlson Community Center located at Lakeside Park, Mayville.  Again, even though some chairs are available inside the Community Center, those coming should plan on bringing their own chairs to make sure there is enough seating for everyone.  A 50/50 raffle will take place at each of the musical performances this summer benefiting the Chamber of Commerce and its work in the community.  The Mayville Fire Department will be on hand offering popcorn and water on a donation basis for the benefit of their fire department.  The Maple Springs Fire Department will also be at the performances offering BBQ dinners for sale to benefit their fire department.  For more information on this annual performance series or the Mayville/Chautauqua area, call the Mayville/Chautauqua Community Chamber of Commerce (organizers of this performance series) at (716) 753-3113.  Plan on coming to Mayville NY July 25th for an evening of blues, good food, and fun for the whole family.
