WESTFIELD, N.Y.:– Sylvia Colbey, a longtime participant of the Chautauqua County Office for the Aging’s (OFA) Congregate Dining Site Program, recently celebrated her 90th Birthday at the Westfield dining site.
The site, which is located at the YWCA on 58 South Portage St., serves a delicious, hot meal at noon every Tuesday to program participants.
“This is our third 90th Birthday Celebration in two years,” said Frankie Rothwell, Dining Site Manager. “These ladies come to the Westfield Congregate Dining Site each Tuesday to enjoy getting together, eating a good meal and playing cards. We also have nutritional education and other programming presented on a regular basis.”
Through its Congregate Dining Site Program, the OFA serves noon meals at several sites throughout the county. The program provides seniors ages 60 and older with the opportunity to enjoy a delicious and nutritious meal, fellowship, and recreational and educational opportunities. Reservations are required.
