“Squawk! The Amazing Bird Show” Performances Cancelled

FREDONIA – The 1891 Fredonia Opera House has announced that its two scheduled performances of Squawk! The Amazing Bird Show, have been cancelled by the artists. The performances were scheduled for Fri., Sept. 6, and Sat., Sept. 7.

“We’ve been notified by Deb and Mark Obarka, the Squawk! performers and bird trainers, that the specialized RV in which they and the birds travel the country from show to show, has broken down and is beyond repair,” says Opera House Executive Director Rick Davis. As a result, they have been forced to cancel their September performances.

“We were very much looking forward to presenting Squawk! and are disappointed at this turn of events, “ adds Davis. “We are working with the Obarkas to find a mutually available date in 2020 to reschedule their appearance at the Opera House.” He adds that ticket holders should contact the Opera House Box Office at 716-679-1891 for a full refund.

The 1891 Fredonia Opera House is a member-supported not-for-profit organization located in Village Hall in downtown Fredonia. A complete schedule of Opera House events is available at http://www.fredopera.org.
