Business After Hours at Southern Tier Brewing is November 12

Register now for Business After Hours at Southern Tier Brewing Company! Once again this year the Chamber invites you to enjoy “Novemberfest” at Southern Tier Brewing Company. This ever popular Experience Chautauqua Business After Hours event is set from 5-6:30pm on Tuesday, November 12. Networking with your fellow Chamber members and prospective members is always fun in this venue. The evening will feature appetizers, a business card door prize drawing, and a cash bar from their terrific brewery selections on tap.

Participate With Us In Small Business Saturday, November 30

Chamber member businesses should sign up now to be listed in the Chamber’s annual Small Business Saturday promotions. This annual event is promoted nationally by American Express, and is celebrating its tenth year. Once again this year the Chautauqua County Chamber of Commerce has signed on as a Neighborhood Champion for Small Business Saturday, which is November 30, the Saturday after Thanksgiving. It’s a great opportunity to support small, locally owned businesses, especially as the holiday shopping season begins. We will help to promote local businesses and help to run some local events for Small Business Saturday.
The Dunkirk Community Chamber is working with the City of Dunkirk to help promote a vendor fair, which will be held from 11am-4pm in the former JC Penney location at D & F Plaza on November 30. Interested vendors can contact Jill Meaux at Dunkirk City Hall at 366-9878. The Chamber will be on hand to sell Shoptauqua Gift Cards which can be used at 150 Chamber member businesses countywide. There will also be music, food, face painting, and more for a fun-filled day.
The Jamestown Community Chamber will host a Visit with Santa Claus at the Chamber office at 300 North Main Street, Jamestown, from noon-2pm on Small Business Saturday. There will be a coloring contest for kids as well as hot cider and snacks, and an opportunity to purchase Shoptauqua Gift Cards.
The Fredonia Community Chamber of Commerce will have a Shop Small Welcome Station in the Information Booth on Barker Common on Small Business Saturday. There, shoppers can pick up a Shopping Passport. Shoppers will need to visit at least eight of the businesses listed to be entered into a prize drawing. Small Business Saturday kicks off a week-long shopping event that leads up to the festive Miracle on Main celebration the following weekend in Fredonia.

Submit Member News for the Chautauqua Business Weekly Email

Each Monday morning the Chautauqua County Chamber of Commerce emails approximately 2,500 business people throughout Chautauqua County with news of Chamber events and promotions, and now we invite members to submit brief news items for that email as well. We have found that transitioning away from our traditional monthly newsletter format and focusing on the Chautauqua Business Weekly Email provides for a more timely distribution of our member news items with a more broad visibility for this news content.
Members are invited to submit a paragraph up to 200 words, including a photo and a link to a web page, social media, or email where readers can learn more information. The deadline for these submissions is 4pm each Thursday to ensure inclusion in the upcoming Monday email. All submissions should be emailed to Sheila Webster at
