“Sheridan Celebrates Christmas” Event

A multi-faceted, multi-benefit holiday event is being planned for Sunday, December 1st in the hall at the Town of Sheridan Municipal complex, 2773 Rt 20.  “Sheridan Celebrates Christmas” will begin festivities at 1:00pm and close at 6:00pm, following a concert of holiday tunes played by the Cassadaga Area Concert Band under the direction of Daryl Warren.  The band will perform at 5pm, but will be preceded by a variety of musical entertainment, provided by members of the New Horizons Band of WNY, the “Ukie Doodles” ukelele singalong group, lifelong Sheridan resident accordian player Wendy Gens, and others.
Vendors from the local area will have tables showcasing an assortment of Christmas crafts, decorations, and gift ideas.  Food and beverages will be sold by the Sheridan VFW Auxiliary, the Sheridan Historical Society will hold a bake sale, and the Sheridan Fire Department Auxiliary will have a gift card raffle as fundraisers for their organizations.  There will also be a basket raffle featuring items donated by each vendor and organization that participates.
There is no admission charge to come and enjoy the holiday spirit in Sheridan.  Everyone is invited.  There will be bins at the door for donations to Toys for Tots and the Forestville Food Pantry.  A nice time to share with friends and neighbors of the town of Sheridan and the surrounding area, while enjoying Christmas music and supporting local crafters and vendors, nonprofit organizations, and charities.
