New Planning & Zoning Training Webpage

WESTFIELD, N.Y.:– The Chautauqua County Division of Planning and Community Development (CCDPCD) has developed a new Planning & Zoning Training webpage to assist municipalities in fulfilling their annual local government trainings requirements and provide access to resources relevant to planning and zoning. The Planning & Zoning Training webpage can be found under Planning & Community Development at These free resources are an excellent way to stay up-to-date on a variety of topics related to land-use planning, regulation, and governance.

“It is important local governments stay informed on planning and zoning issues, as their decisions directly impact their municipalities for decades to come,” said Don McCord, Director of the CCDPCD. “In this day and age, online training and resources are the smartest way to assist local government with staying current on a wide variety of issues they may face. We hope our new webpage will make it easier for our municipal leaders to find great opportunities to further develop their skills.”

The CCDPCD regularly updates its upcoming trainings calendar, which includes free workshops, trainings, and other events that address the needs of the communities of Chautauqua County. These events are provided by professional planning and zoning organizations, including the Southern Tier West Regional Planning Commission, New York State Department of State: Division of Local Government Services, American Planning Association, and many more.
