FallFest in Gowanda tentatively set for Sept. 26
GOWANDA — Even with the crazy, confusing summer we have been having, it’s time to start thinking about FallFest in Gowanda.
FallFest is tentatively scheduled for Sept. 26, the last Saturday of the month, but may also include the days immediately before and after that date.
Once again, FallFest will coincide with the homecoming weekend for Gowanda High School. Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the usual number of FallFest events may be reduced.
However, the Scarecrow Contest will go on as planned. Additional details will be available by early September. Even so, it’s not too early to be making plans for your scarecrow and getting an early start.
It is also not too late for any community group or organization to get involved. If your group or organization wants to hold an event around FallFest weekend, contact Bill Peglowski, FallFest coordinator, so the event details can be added to the schedule.
Peglowski can be reached at (716) 532-9178 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org. The deadline to get an event on the schedule is Sept. 19.
