Bertrand Chaffee Hospital welcomes Drs. Thomas P. Smith and Joseph Gomez
Bertrand Chaffee Hospital is pleased to announce cardiologists Dr. Thomas Smith and Dr. Joseph Gomez have joined the BCH Heart Center.
Dr. Thomas P. Smith, MD completed Medical School, Medical and Surgical Internship, and Medical Residency at the State University of New York at Buffalo, Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. He completed Fellowship at the Division of Cardiology, Department of Medicine, State University of New York at Buffalo, Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.
Dr. Smith is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, accredited by the American College of Physicians, and is associated with the American Heart Association Council of Circulation and American Society of Hypertension.
Dr. Smith has received a number of professional accolades, including: 11 Awards of Excellence, Merck and Company; Clinical Faculty Teaching Award, University at Buffalo, Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences; Carter Pannil Award, Excellence in Clinical Teaching, University at Buffalo, Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.
Dr. Joseph Gomez, MD, FACC, completed Medical School at Georgetown University School of Medicine and Medical Residency and a Fellowship in Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Rochester School of Medicine. Dr. Gomez is Board Certified by the American Board of Cardiovascular Disease, American Board of Cardiology, and the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Gomez previously served as the Chief of Cardiology at Geneva General Hospital and Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital.
