Prevention Works is offering “Active Parenting of Teens” program free of charge through a grant from the United Way of Southern Chautauqua County and a partnership between Prevention Works and Mental Health Association of Chautauqua. “Active Parenting of Teens” Third Edition from Active Publishers, is a three-session, two-hour video and discussion program from noon to 2 pm on Wednesdays October 21, 28, & November 4, 2020 through Zoom video meeting software. The classes cover teens and technology (the Internet, social networking sites, etc.); the latest in teen drug use prevention (including prescription drugs); teen bullying: how to spot it, how to handle it; special step-family considerations; how brain development affects teen behavior and decision-making; improved discipline and communication; and updated teen sexuality issues.
