Council, Police approve three year agreement

JAMESTOWN– March 29, the Jamestown City Council approved an agreement with The Kendall Club Police Benevolent Association for the years from 2018 through 2020. The union approved the contract last week. The new contract includes retroactive 2% raises for police officers for all 3 years, as well as an increased contribution to the City’s health insurance plan by union members starting in 2021. City of Jamestown to hold drive-thru Easter Eggstravaganza at Allen Park

JAMESTOWN– The City of Jamestown is excited to announce a COVID safe Easter Egg celebration at Allen Park this Saturday, April 2, 2021, starting at 10 AM until candy runs out. The event will include appearances from the Easter Bunny and Tarp Skunk’s mascot, Whiffy. Volunteers will be masked and gloved and will hand out candy to families in their cars. City, County to Provide Free Rabies Immunization Clinic

(JAMESTOWN, NY)– The City of Jamestown and Chautauqua County Department of Health are holding a free rabies immunization clinic for cats, dogs, and domestic ferrets this Saturday, November 7th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The clinic will take place at the Jamestown Parks Department located at 115 Fairmount Avenue. City of Jamestown Christmas Tree 2020

(JAMESTOWN,NY)–The City of Jamestown Parks, Recreation & Conservation Department will be harvesting the 2020 Christmas Tree on Monday, November 9th, at 9:00 a.m., with the tree arriving at City Hall at approximately 10:00 a.m. This year’s tree will be a 40-foot tall White Spruce Tree that is being donated by the Carl & Donna Mazzurco Family. City of Jamestown announces COVID-19 cluster in Jamestown Fire Department

The City of Jamestown has confirmed that a cluster of cases has been detected within the Jamestown Fire Department. At this time, 6 positive cases have been confirmed out of the 55-member Fire Department through the Chautauqua County Department of Health’s rapid testing operation.
